Yom Kippur, On Forgiveness and Compassion

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Today, Eve of Yom Kippour

Day of forgiveness Atonement and Repentance

in the Jewish Faith

As we look within

Can we stretch the boundaries of our kin?

Can we try and include

our forgiveness

for all those who have sinned..?

As we rise and purify ourselves

can we bring along

in our prayer

not only those who

we see in pain

but even those who have

been the cause..?

For they too are marked by pain

and have turned to express in ways that are sometimes insane..

Just a thought

To ponder upon

As we try

To find sense

In this existence

And build

A safe world

Of Love & Harmony

For us ALL to live in ..

Sending LOVE to ALL

And wishing an easy fast to all those fasting..

May we all find a moment to look within
And find the Light*
Which Unites us ALL

Compassion/ Mia leventhal

Compassion

Temper thy passion.

Compassion

Include others on your tide,

Help them join the ride..

Compassion

Not only for those who are in suffering,

But for those

Who are blind to see

Grant them

Of your tender ability.

Wouldn`t that be

A wonderful gift to Humanity …

I
will leave you with a prayer of Rosh hashana and Yom Kippur

Avinu Malkeinu

Hear our prayer
We have sinned before thee
Have compassion upon us and upon our children
Help us bring an end to pestilence, war, and famine
Cause all hate and oppression to vanish from the earth
Inscribe us for blessing in the book of life
Let the new year be a good year for us

Avinu malkeinu sh’ma kolenu
