In the Depths of forest Dark/ Kelly Lynn

Thank you Kelly Lynn for a very poignant poem expressing  movement towards the light* ❤

In the depths of forest dark
in twisted shadows lost,
I felt a warmth
not of myself
move me to look across
through the silhouette of trees
above myself to see
its shine of loving Light,
with no uncertain terms,
gently reaching down
to lift me where it was.

And of natural instinct
undisturbed,
I began gently reaching up
to meet its lovely touch,
when flooded into mind
a thought from other lives,
of distant ancient past,
it had once abandoned me,
left me far behind.

And, true or not,
on this account,
thus began
in that exchange
the thing I came to understand,
from which to free my hands,
this spark of rage
into separate minds
where shadowed lives began,
so that I may fly
forever more,
once again,
into the Land of Love
that never ends.
