A Day at the Market

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Today, as every Tuesday, was market day here in a small village in the south of France.

I look forward to these weekly visits to the market and not only for the fresh veggies which I enjoy.
The owner of the stall where I buy is Armenian, the woman who works for him is French and the guy who works for him is Algerian.
As soon as I arrive we all crack up laughing even without speaking at this point.Even though my visits are brief, our encounter is precious.
Time stands still and for a brief moment we forget everything else.
The woman is a natural health fan like me, we share knowledge, tips and even herbs and seeds. For example,I introduced her to the Mediterranean “Zaatar” spice mix and she gave me some local Linden flowers for tea from her garden.
The owner jokes around endlessly especially regarding world tendencies to separate races..he jokes lovingly, as all four of us have no issues , we see each other in such a natural way without separation.
He jokes about the dates he has for example, he says “look at these, I have here dates from Israel and there are the dates from Algeria, side by side, and they`re not fighting each other !”
People look at him and we crack up laughing..or at the time of the regional elections when there was the risk of the extreme right rising, he had plenty of jokes..releasing the tension of the situation..
His worker today brought me an oriental spice I was searching for..we discuss how does his wife use it in cooking and I tell him how I learned to ..
Everywhere I go in the world I tend to find myself in these situations, co-creating life with others from all walks of life, religion, race etc in total recognition of our common race of humanity, in total embrace of each other`s souls, in celebration respect and joy.Seeing the divinity in each other and so enjoying the diversity, intrigued , sharing, learning
And above all laughing, laughing as we know the Truth , laughing as we see the Light, no matter what is going on in our lives and no matter what is going on around us.We laugh as others may not yet see..we laugh till All will join us..
This is how I choose to live my life
Tiptoing between the puddles to meet the shining spark with those who share the light whoever and wherever they may be
For a minute, for an hour or a year
We give eachother so much power to continue..as we continue to encounter those who choose not yet to see
One day they too will join us
And we will all be able to laugh in joy together
For that is how it was meant to be.. 🙂

Much Love
Mia
