In You My Brother, the ‘Other’, I have seen God

*Francais suivi
Recently I had the opportunity to volunteer working with young Eritrean refugees here in France. We worked on some art and expressive writing in English and we created together a Nativity scene of the birth of Jesus for Christmas.
Their work was presented at the local church which made them feel very emotional and proud.
These images portray our work together with one of them chanting beautiful prayers in their language as they worked.

I feel very honored to have been able to work with these youngsters, these young men who will become the adult men of tomorrow, leading the global world with an attitude sculpted by the experiences they have lived.
I have met youngsters who have gone through a great deal, who carry within them so much sadness and pain, disappointment and fatigue as well as worry for their future.
Despite all this, I have been able to open a small door into their souls, as they have very gradually opened up to me, not without difficulty, and I was able to encounter the enormous power of their personalities, after having had to confront so much in their young age.
I have seen their courage and tenacity as well as their resourcefulness as they put their all into manifesting that which they desire, with whatever is at hand.

I was extremely impressed, but above all, I had the opportunity to see and sense their deep faith, which is strong and inexhaustible.
This was a very touching and inspiring experience for me, that has taught me very much, and has yet again convinced me that we have so much to learn from one another, instead of being afraid of the ‘other’, for we All have so much to contribute to this mutual existence.
It is so much more beneficial to us all to open and collaborate, to create a better world together, than to remain held in contradiction with one another, nourishing the separation which leads us to destruction.
I am full of hope that these youngsters will carry into their future experiences which will lead them to create a world of tomorrow that is more open, tolerant and harmonious.
As for myself, I have become richer in spirit to have been able to meet them, and for this I am deeply grateful.
May we All be blessed to learn from each other and grow, Amen
May they be Protected and Blessed on the continuation of their journey, Amen.*Recemment j`avais l`opportunite d`etre benevole en travaillant avec des jeunes refugees Eritreans ici en France.

Happy Eid & Hatima Tova

This year we have been blessed with a beautiful gift from the Universe.

A sacred holiday for the Jewish tradition coincides on the same day as the celebration of a Sacred Holiday in the Muslim tradition.Such a lovely occasion to celebrate our joint faith within our beautiful diversity.

As a Global Family we have been given many teachings, not to separate us but to represent the various colours of similar truths, so that we can all share our own versions and grow together towards the light.

I have written before how the essence of Yom Kipour in the Jewish tradition is very similar to the Ramadan in The Muslim Tradition.
Today we have an opportunity to share the same day in our dedication to our faith.

On Yom Kipour we devote ourselves to inner contemplation, through prayer and fasting during 24 hrs, reviewing our actions , repenting our sins and asking for forgiveness, after which we are said to be “signed in ” to the book of life..hence the term wished to one another “Hatima Tova” Good signing.

Eid Al Adha is devoted to the essence of Sacrifice based on Abraham`s readiness to sacrifice the life of his son to the request of God, aswell as his son`s readiness to sacrifice his own life, after which God spared his life.

The Test of Faith that was put to them both is of great significance and requires contemplation upon our readiness to sacrifice ourselves in our lives for our faith and for the sake of others.

It is my wish on this Joint Holy day that we share our faith and see the beauty in one another, joining together in contemplation upon our ways and our faith, remembering God has created us all in Love and aiding each other to grow  TOGETHER towards the Light of our Joint Creator, Amen.

Blessings to All

Much Love

He who loveth the creator/ Mia Leventhal

He who loveth

The Creator
Loves all
He has Created.
Our Neighbors
Are our Brothers to Creation,
Intended to
Complete our Existence,
Living side by side in Harmony.
Just as
The Sea Completes
The Earth
And the Air Completes
The Flower`s Birth.
Once we surrender
To Love
We shall then Understand
The Secret of Creation
And Find
Peace and Serenity.

Let Go ~
