I Carry the Eternal Flame

No
I shall not bow
My head in shame
For I carry the Eternal Flame
You may have tried to
Twist and own
But you cannot take
From me
What you have lost
along the way

No
I shall not bow
My head in shame
I shall Shine my Light
Stronger than ever
So that
You too
Can remember
Your Name/

Interdependance ~

FB_IMG_1504809991810

Today I was reminded of Humility, Kindness and our Human Interdependance
I currently live in a small village in the South of France.I dont have a car and rely on the bus service to get into nearby towns, a service which sometimes works out and sometimes not.. 😊
As I realised this morning that Ive been misinformed and have been waiting on a bus that will not come, I was worried about missing an important appointment in town.
Then came a schoolbus collecting the kids for school, I hesitated to ask because I remember from prior occasions they dont tend to take on individuals but one glimpse at the face of this driver made me feel she seems nice, so I asked.
She’s going to the other town, she replied and I left walking home trying to figure out what to do..and then she honked calling me back..she said exceptionally after dropping the kids off she will be going to the other town
If I wouldnt mind joining the ride.
I gleamed! She was my Angel for today!
During the drive we started a very pleasant conversation..she mentioned a phrase I use so often “There are no chances, things are designed from above” I gleamed even more..she speaks my kind of language..
I shared with her how I hesitated to ask her and how I felt pushed to take the chance especially as I felt she was a nice person.
She then also shared that she had ‘felt’ me too and after I walked away she thought about how nicely I asked and about my accent meaning I may need extra help, not being from here.
That point touched me the most..the understanding that someone who may not be from here may need extra help rather than feel wary of them..
She then told me how much she believes in solidarity and shared some of her own similar experiences of need.
I think sometimes we dont realise how much we need each other!
When I had felt the dissapointment earlier, I couldnt help but use the phrase “why is this happening?”
I took all the necessary measures to make sure about the timetable
And then in the bus I received my answer.. Its not a question of control..its a matter of a certain Humility in our Human Existence.. to Trust.. the Universe..and our fellow Brothers and Sisters here with us..trusting their kindness..and understanding through these experiences how much no matter how we are organised..we are interdependant on each other..
We must step out of our own bubbles and the more we do so the more we can understand others and how much we are similar and interconnected.
This was such a beautiful moment and I wished to show her my gratitude.
I had remembered I prepared some vegan Sweet Potato muffins and had taken them with me for my day in town.
Its funny but I recalled thinking to myself I have a feeling I will be offering one to someone today!
I was suddenly happy I took extra care and wrapped each one..now it felt extra special..
And yay, I felt this warmth in me as I offered her one..something made by my hands and care that I can offer her. I was even more thrilled when she said you know Im fasting at the moment as Im headed for a blood test and this will be the first thing I eat as soon as its done.
I felt this warmth in my heart.
This Human experience..
Can be so Beautiful..

In You My Brother, the ‘Other’, I have seen God

*Francais suivi
Recently I had the opportunity to volunteer working with young Eritrean refugees here in France. We worked on some art and expressive writing in English and we created together a Nativity scene of the birth of Jesus for Christmas.
Their work was presented at the local church which made them feel very emotional and proud.
These images portray our work together with one of them chanting beautiful prayers in their language as they worked.

I feel very honored to have been able to work with these youngsters, these young men who will become the adult men of tomorrow, leading the global world with an attitude sculpted by the experiences they have lived.
I have met youngsters who have gone through a great deal, who carry within them so much sadness and pain, disappointment and fatigue as well as worry for their future.
Despite all this, I have been able to open a small door into their souls, as they have very gradually opened up to me, not without difficulty, and I was able to encounter the enormous power of their personalities, after having had to confront so much in their young age.
I have seen their courage and tenacity as well as their resourcefulness as they put their all into manifesting that which they desire, with whatever is at hand.

I was extremely impressed, but above all, I had the opportunity to see and sense their deep faith, which is strong and inexhaustible.
This was a very touching and inspiring experience for me, that has taught me very much, and has yet again convinced me that we have so much to learn from one another, instead of being afraid of the ‘other’, for we All have so much to contribute to this mutual existence.
It is so much more beneficial to us all to open and collaborate, to create a better world together, than to remain held in contradiction with one another, nourishing the separation which leads us to destruction.
I am full of hope that these youngsters will carry into their future experiences which will lead them to create a world of tomorrow that is more open, tolerant and harmonious.
As for myself, I have become richer in spirit to have been able to meet them, and for this I am deeply grateful.
May we All be blessed to learn from each other and grow, Amen
May they be Protected and Blessed on the continuation of their journey, Amen.*Recemment j`avais l`opportunite d`etre benevole en travaillant avec des jeunes refugees Eritreans ici en France.

Love makes the world go round…

20161121_140542

20161121_140631

The Post lady just passed by with my mail all soaked to the bone in the pouring rain..
I kept thinking and asking what could I do to help her ..I finally gave her a pair of new dry socks to put on as soon as she gets a pause..
Wondering..can we begin today to see ourselves in the ‘Other’ ..any ‘Other’ that just crosses our path..
May we begin today to ponder and open our eyes..look around..someone today could really use your attention, help and love.. the smallest gesture of being present for another can actually change their life around today..
Just imagine the ripple effect..
If you are disturbed by the world’s vibes at the moment.. offer any small gesture of kindness that you wouldnt normally think of..to a total stranger..see yourself in him/her..he is another you..
We are all in this TOGETHER
((( World Hug )))

Love can make the world go round and round … ❤
Much love
Mia

*You are welcome to share with us on Aakhda’s fb page any act of pure kindness to a stranger that you have offered.
Lets inspire each other ❤

Pensez y..
Beaucoup d’amour
Mia

My Sister..Your Sister

Love

Today I would like to share with you that I am feeling very sad upon hearing about the latest ban on the ‘Burkini’ here in France where I currently live.
I immediately think about my friend from Kurdish origin who Ive met here and creates beautiful hand embroidery, a handcraft which was one of the bases of our shared interests.
I remember calling her recently and her young daughter answering the phone.I asked her how she was and how she has been enjoying the summer vacation..if she has been doing anything interesting. She answered with excitement that they may be going soon to the beach, the whole family.I felt so happy for them as I know my friends husband works so hard to try and support the family and I was happy at the thought of them enjoying the beach to relax and have fun.
My friend wears a simple head scarf as part of her faith and  dresses modestly.
When I heard about this ban, I thought about her and perhaps her older daughter, would they not be able to enjoy this gift of nature because they do not wish to bare their body in public?
That saddened me greatly..
Why should their freedom be limited like this?
How many times do we as women find ourselves at the beach, wishing to enjoy the sun, the soothing salty breeze and even the water, without feeling comfortable to actually wear a bikini, for various reasons, weight issues, mood, menstruation etc?
How many other women for more various reasons wish to enjoy the beach without baring their skin , skin illness, Nuns etc ?

I recall a time I went to the beach in France with my ex husband. We were laying on the sand relaxing..and then came near us a French Woman who stripped her clothes off remaining totally naked and went into the water.
Is that less or more disturbing than someone who is more fully dressed than others?
How can we decide for another what is right or acceptable to wear as long as there is no real harm to others?

I understand the atmosphere at the moment is that of fear and confusion as a result of all the occurrences, and the feeling of helplessness as to how to deal and further protect .
But I so wish we would stop and think about how more separation and judgement over things that really do not harm anyone is not the solution and even just a trigger for more
separation, judgement , fear and hate to bounce back and forth from one group to another and there really is no end to this as long as we continue to fuel it.
What if we understood that we all wish to be accepted with the differences that we were created with and even those that we chose for ourselves, be it faith, way of life, opinions etc.
At the end of the day we were all created intentionally different, as different facets of the Diamond of Creation. We all hold Beauty and Light of the Creator within us as we were all created by him.As long as we all respect one another there is so much to honor in our differences.
What if we took the time to get to know the ‘other’ which we fear so much of..only because they are different? We may get to learn something new about life, and we may just learn to respect one another and live in the Harmony and Peace that we all claim to wish for..

Blessings of Peace to ALL
Mia

I am the Star I have wished for ~

full-moon-kahliya star

Within the search between
That which is True
And that which is fake
I stay
AWAKE
I may shake
But I shall not break
For I am the Star
I have wished For.
Through this vessel
I have come from StarDust
To shine
And shed,
Shed
And Shine
More than ever before
For my spark and all of my Brethrens core.
With the power of our pure Light
We have the might
To Shine Together
And cease fight
Honoring our Creator
Who has allowed us the choice.
May we find our True sight.
Calling All sparks of Creation
Let us glue back Together
And form that Star Kingdom
Shining back to the skies..

Peace in our Hearts

IMG_2454

Dear friends,
These days in many corners of the world the belly of humanity is attempting to evoke all that is hidden within it that separates us from our true Divine essence of Love and of belonging to each other, all that separates us from each other and from our creator, for the deeper target of once again bringing unity, brotherhood and Love. The process is painful as is any and all processes of painful wound clearing, but in this process we get to see how far away so many of us have come from ourselves and from our true essence of Love. Without Love, we cannot exist. No Money No “Power” no separation and no Greed can truly possess the essence of Creation. There are no winners in the game of destruction for all destruction leads to destruction of self. The only True essence of Life is LOVE. When we understand that as our true essence , we can Create TOGETHER with Our Creator and our Brothers endless Creation of LIFE.
It is our duty these days not to succumb to the darkness or the feelings of fear being provoked for this is the exact source of this destructive separation.
Only TOGETHER we shall stand STRONG and CREATE a Better world for us ALL.
Within the Darkness that appears at this time, CHOOSE the LIGHT, Tune into your HEARTS and FIND the PEACE in Your Hearts, Gifted to us from the DIVINE.
Connect to your innate DIVINE POWER to have PEACE in Your HEART despite..Elevate your own Vibration and create an inspiring ripple effect for others to follow..for if we all tuned into this higher vibration …then..That would create the change we are all searching for..
Blessings of
PEACE * LOVE * LIGHT
To Each and Every One of YOU,
For YOU and your BROTHER are ONE With the CREATOR
Much Love
