Ready to spread some Love out there?

Based on a poem I wrote reaching out to the ‘Other’ on the other side
Reminding us all how we are all the same ..Human, children of the same Creator,Brothers and Sisters
These days our Global family is still struggling with illusions of fear and separation
I wish to spread an essential message of Love, reminding us all who we are and that we are all interconnected.
Will you join me?

Aakhda is my Peace/Humanitarian project and it means “Together” in Ancient Arameic
The Language that Jesus spoke and the Origin of Hebrew and Arabic
Isnt it time to bring us all back Together?
United we are strong and we Shine*!

My Brother on the Other Side/Mia Leventhal

My Brother on the Other side
I have seen you fly
And you have seen me cry
We have nothing more to hide
Overcome the barriers of ignorance
Created by our fellow people
Hate in our hearts
Will never reside
Hold my hand
And let us step up together
Paving the way for a Brighter
United future

In You My Brother, the ‘Other’, I have seen God

*Francais suivi
Recently I had the opportunity to volunteer working with young Eritrean refugees here in France. We worked on some art and expressive writing in English and we created together a Nativity scene of the birth of Jesus for Christmas.
Their work was presented at the local church which made them feel very emotional and proud.
These images portray our work together with one of them chanting beautiful prayers in their language as they worked.

I feel very honored to have been able to work with these youngsters, these young men who will become the adult men of tomorrow, leading the global world with an attitude sculpted by the experiences they have lived.
I have met youngsters who have gone through a great deal, who carry within them so much sadness and pain, disappointment and fatigue as well as worry for their future.
Despite all this, I have been able to open a small door into their souls, as they have very gradually opened up to me, not without difficulty, and I was able to encounter the enormous power of their personalities, after having had to confront so much in their young age.
I have seen their courage and tenacity as well as their resourcefulness as they put their all into manifesting that which they desire, with whatever is at hand.

I was extremely impressed, but above all, I had the opportunity to see and sense their deep faith, which is strong and inexhaustible.
This was a very touching and inspiring experience for me, that has taught me very much, and has yet again convinced me that we have so much to learn from one another, instead of being afraid of the ‘other’, for we All have so much to contribute to this mutual existence.
It is so much more beneficial to us all to open and collaborate, to create a better world together, than to remain held in contradiction with one another, nourishing the separation which leads us to destruction.
I am full of hope that these youngsters will carry into their future experiences which will lead them to create a world of tomorrow that is more open, tolerant and harmonious.
As for myself, I have become richer in spirit to have been able to meet them, and for this I am deeply grateful.
May we All be blessed to learn from each other and grow, Amen
May they be Protected and Blessed on the continuation of their journey, Amen.*Recemment j`avais l`opportunite d`etre benevole en travaillant avec des jeunes refugees Eritreans ici en France.

My Sister..Your Sister

Love

Today I would like to share with you that I am feeling very sad upon hearing about the latest ban on the ‘Burkini’ here in France where I currently live.
I immediately think about my friend from Kurdish origin who Ive met here and creates beautiful hand embroidery, a handcraft which was one of the bases of our shared interests.
I remember calling her recently and her young daughter answering the phone.I asked her how she was and how she has been enjoying the summer vacation..if she has been doing anything interesting. She answered with excitement that they may be going soon to the beach, the whole family.I felt so happy for them as I know my friends husband works so hard to try and support the family and I was happy at the thought of them enjoying the beach to relax and have fun.
My friend wears a simple head scarf as part of her faith and  dresses modestly.
When I heard about this ban, I thought about her and perhaps her older daughter, would they not be able to enjoy this gift of nature because they do not wish to bare their body in public?
That saddened me greatly..
Why should their freedom be limited like this?
How many times do we as women find ourselves at the beach, wishing to enjoy the sun, the soothing salty breeze and even the water, without feeling comfortable to actually wear a bikini, for various reasons, weight issues, mood, menstruation etc?
How many other women for more various reasons wish to enjoy the beach without baring their skin , skin illness, Nuns etc ?

I recall a time I went to the beach in France with my ex husband. We were laying on the sand relaxing..and then came near us a French Woman who stripped her clothes off remaining totally naked and went into the water.
Is that less or more disturbing than someone who is more fully dressed than others?
How can we decide for another what is right or acceptable to wear as long as there is no real harm to others?

I understand the atmosphere at the moment is that of fear and confusion as a result of all the occurrences, and the feeling of helplessness as to how to deal and further protect .
But I so wish we would stop and think about how more separation and judgement over things that really do not harm anyone is not the solution and even just a trigger for more
separation, judgement , fear and hate to bounce back and forth from one group to another and there really is no end to this as long as we continue to fuel it.
What if we understood that we all wish to be accepted with the differences that we were created with and even those that we chose for ourselves, be it faith, way of life, opinions etc.
At the end of the day we were all created intentionally different, as different facets of the Diamond of Creation. We all hold Beauty and Light of the Creator within us as we were all created by him.As long as we all respect one another there is so much to honor in our differences.
What if we took the time to get to know the ‘other’ which we fear so much of..only because they are different? We may get to learn something new about life, and we may just learn to respect one another and live in the Harmony and Peace that we all claim to wish for..

Blessings of Peace to ALL
Mia

Healing the wounded belly of Humanity

Sending Love to Orlando, and to All places around the world in which wounded parts of humanity have turned to violence towards innocent lives.
May all lives be cherished.
May Peace among All , the Holy Sacred Value of our Creation be Respected and Restored.

May we connect to the belly of Humanity which connects us All and Heal our pain.
May we remember the Love that we Are,
That embraces each other as ourselves, respecting our creation and uniting as One unto the Light.Amen
Much Love
